The next step begins

As I write this I'm sitting in Calgary airport waiting for my connecting flight home. I've just spent 2 weeks in BC with some amazing people at a mission training program I need to complete as the last step of my application to the organization I hope to work with.
It was an amazing 2 weeks of fun and fellowship with 13-14 like minded people who also are at different stages of embarking into the mission field as well. Its amazing how for 2 weeks we were able to connect so well and be able to see how God is working in each of our lives and guiding each one of us on the plan He has for each of us. Some of our group hopes to be in the field by early next year, others (myself included) later in 2012, and still others are just starting on their adventures.
Great friends were made, and even though we may not see each other for years, those friendships developed will be cherised by those in our team. We may be placed all over the world -Africa, Asia, Middle East, and North America - but we will all be connected through our time at the course.
The next step is getting approved by the organization to be a part of their mission team.
